If there’s one thing we love at Fidenti, it’s a challenge. Whether it’s finding a mortgage for a client who has otherwise been told they can’t secure one, or getting critical illness cover for a client with unique medical needs, we pride ourselves on taking on what others may shy away from.
But when GI & Protection Adviser Lucy suggested the idea of a triathlon, we’d be lying if we said we all jumped at the opportunity.
“You don’t have to do the whole thing, we can do it as a relay!” Lucy explained, trying to win us over. It didn’t quite work as she’d hoped, and the excuses came flooding in.
“I’m rubbish on a bike” … “I’d never be able to swim in cold water outside!” … “I’d love to, but what about my shin splints?”
“It’s for a great cause!” Lucy told us, hopefully. She’s not wrong – the triathlon is in aid of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Charity – how were we meant to say no to that? Not only do we love a challenge, but we’re all soft at heart, and helping the local community is what we’re all about.
Slowly, but surely, the team started to get on board, and somehow, Nick, Corrie, Chris, Ryan, Hannah, Lucy, and Jen found themselves entering the Cheshire Triathlon – with no experience whatsoever.
